Little Bee

Little Bee,
Pay no heed to stinging thoughts
Comparing you with other bees.
Don’t trust the tales
Spinning webs in mind;
Whispering that your worth be dependent on an experience, a piece of knowledge, an ability,
Being or not being.

You’ve been told, Little Bee,
You must be a certain way to be rewarded.
You’ve been told, Little Bee,
You must hold a certain thing to be joyful.
You’ve been told, Little Bee,
That one way of bee-ing is more sacred than another;
These are the falsities you must disengage with to be free.

Love cares not what is present or not present,
Love is loving with all that is present.
It’s all lovable,
It’s all spiritual,
It’s all perfect,
It’s all beautiful!

That’s the great realisation,
That’s the great celebration...
No matter what is or isn’t — you are love.
No matter what is or isn’t — you can love.

Little Bee,
Pay no heed to stinging thoughts
Comparing you with other bees.
Don’t trust the tales
Spinning webs in mind;
Whispering that your worth be dependent on an experience, a piece of knowledge, an ability,
Being or not being.

Instead, know yourself wholeheartedly,
Not as body or mind;
With temporary capability,
But as the Little Bee that loves.
