Acceptance

Acceptance is unnecessary to engage with when one is at peace.

In order to accept, there must be something to resist. One cannot exist without the other.

Do you accept the air, the grass, the existence of your hand? No, for you do not resist their presence.

All things simply “are”. Only the mind sees exclusions; things that “should not” be.

“That person is not recycling and they should be”, says the ego. It might as well be saying “That grass is not blue and it should be”, for the statement is just as fantastical.

Recycle or don’t recycle. Each choice has its consequences, as does the choice to be, or not be, in a state of peace with someone who doesn’t recycle.

Notice when the mind comments upon, labels, judges, compares or needs to understand “what is”. Recognise how noisy this is. See how the mind overlays “reality” with narrative. Then, you are aware. You are at peace. There is no need for acceptance.
