Distractions

It became clear recently that distractions do not exist.

There appears to be an attraction - a draw - an ongoing, unbreaking flow of moving towards, or away, or simply in a direction.

To say something is a distraction is to say that what is focused upon should not be focused upon - that it would be 'better' to not be doing this, and instead be doing that. This involves a position - a belief that one thing is inherently more valuable than another. In reality, everything has equal value.

What is attractive, or being focused upon, now, is simply that.

If an advertising sign attracts the gaze, in being with it, I may experience a lot of 'noise' and be drawn to close my eyes or look elsewhere. I am not 'distracting' myself from the sign - I am simply not focusing on it anymore.
