The Experience of Connection and Separation

Experience is here, in the totality of sound, sensation and sight. It is simply happening.

At times, there is no sense of separation within this. What is present is just what is present. Nothing that appears is personal or problematic. Experience is one, without a clear centre inside it.

At other times, thought introduces a centre. A sense arises of 'me' who is having the experience. What is happening is then organised around this centre, and life appears divided into an inside and an outside, a self and a world.

The same experience is present in both cases. Only the interpretation differs.

Connection is not something achieved. It is what is evident when the sense of separation is not being created and sustained.
